That depends- what color are your eyes? What type of look ar you going for? Do you want wild crazy colors or neutrals? Browns and taupes are a good place to start because you can wear them anywhere, also look into light shimmery champagne or golden colors because you can wear it on the lid, browbone, alone, or with other colors.
To be brand specific- Smashbox Champagne, Bare Escentuals Queen Phyllis, or MAC naked lunch would be a good start for light colors. Good Browns are MAC Satin Taupe, NYX root beer, and Urban Decay twice baked.What color of eye shadow should I purchase first?
