My cats eye is a milky color! What does this mean!?! I will take him to the vet tomorrow, but what is it?

I can't wait to know what is wrong with my baby. I feel bad for him. My cats eye is a milky color! What does this mean!?! I will take him to the vet tomorrow, but what is it?
I had to take my cat to an Ophthalmology Vet because her eye had become white and cloudy. Turned out she had a herpes virus and conjunctivitis. I give her drops and her eyes look great. The vet should be able to tell you a lot more.My cats eye is a milky color! What does this mean!?! I will take him to the vet tomorrow, but what is it?
Your cat has an eye disorder called a cataract. People get them and have the cataracts removed surgically. The same can be done for cats, but it's very expensive. If your cat is older and slowing down and is an indoor cat, it can live a full and happy life without the surgery, especially if it's only in one eye. A blind pet has only one 'requirement' ... that nothing in the house where the cat can move around is moved out of place, because that 'throws off' the cat's memory of it's surroundings, and it can get 'lost' easily ... and that means that you must be 'careful' if you cat is going blind, but the choice is up to you ... also how much money you want to spend on your cat. You said he's your baby, so you may want to consider cataract surgery if it is a cataract and not an eye infection or some other eye problem.
It could be a cataract if it's been there for a long time and if your cat is older.

But I doubt it.

It's probably just a scratch on your cat's eye. The eye swells and glazes over with puss like that to protect it and give it a chance to heal. Don't wipe it unless it's an unnatural color or you see debris in the eye. If there is debris try to get it out with a paper towel or (if this is possible with a cat), flush it out with water (an infant eye dropper would work or something like a turkey baster)

I hope that helps! And the vet will definitely figure it out!

(Btw, it's nice to see pet owners that care so much about their pets!)
if he's old it could be a cataract

or perhaps some sort of infection

or, more likely, it could be an indication of some other problem with the cat. this could be mental or physical; anxiety, not feeling well, etc. You do well in taking him to the vet. I would also take not of whether he is acting differently than he usually does.
Most likely an eye infection which requires an antibiotic to get rid of. My does gets this all the time because of his long fur I think. If your animal is showing irritation, I put a warm cloth over their eye as long as they let me as it alleviates any pain.
this just happened out of nowhere? did he/she eat anything strange? is his eye the only thing wrong or is he acting weird too? is there something stuck in his eye? go to the vet no doubt.
it probably means he has cataracts. it tkes a pretty simple procedure to get rid of it the pretty mutch scrape it off and it has to heal.
Possible glaucoma, the lens clouds and vision is reduced. Do go to your vet, it might be something else. (I think it is treatable.)
A scratched cornea will make the whole eye clouded. The vet will give you a soothing gel to put on the eye.

If it was cataracts it would develop slowly, not come on all at once like this.
just a guess!--- it might be blindness, try waving a finger in front/on the side of the eye and see if he reacts to it.
if it looks hazy, your cat could be going blind.

my dog had that too, and she went blind.

not to freak you out, but you should get him checked.
Its a morning star, your cats eye probably got irritated, but its fine just need to clean with a soft tissue. Hope that helped! (:
Could be an eye infection. Is the cat elderly? Could be cataract.
